The album is a celebration of freedom, dreams and aspirations, heroism, romance, and love. The album includes the title song, "We The People", a patriotic song about freedom; "Please Do Not Spam Me", a timely release shortly after the January 1, 2004 implementation of the CAN-SPAM law; "For The Heroes", a tribute to unsung heroes, “those who put their lives on the line”, military personnel, veterans, police, fire, and emergency workers; and other songs of hope, love and inspiration. “We The People” CD Album includes original songs written, sung, and performed on synthesizer by Joseph F.M. Pokorny. Guitarist Don McCarty lends his musical talent to many of the songs; guitarist John Matthews collaborates with Joe’s synthesizer work on “Mellow Sunset”; and RyKy Records’ co-founder Neal R. Voron contributes lyrics and/or lyric inspiration for several titles.
A celebration of freedom... “It’s written in our hearts; It’s written in the Constitution; One voice, one nation, under God”. About a father’s hopes for his son’s dreams to come true. A reflection of honesty, truth, and the gift of love. A song about someone who does not want to be spammed anymore because 'I've got a life to live. It's time to live it! It doesn't revolve around you!' [The song is a modified version of the previously-released song, “Please Do Not Call Me”.] A representation of William Temple Franklin’s farewell to his father, Ben. It speaks of departure and the need for each of us to meet our destiny. As the lyrics say, “I’m hungry for life, hungry for love… so I must do what I’m dreaming of.” A personal expression of how to live life. A tribute to unsung heroes, “those who put their lives on the line”, military personnel, veterans, police, fire, and emergency workers. A marriage of lyrics and music in the expression of love: “I’m loving you more than words can say.” A memory bouquet of appreciation for loving someone. Song about “something wonderful”, an Irish dream of love. A “prayer for the lives of those who dare to dream”. An instrumental jazz theme that was inspired by watching the sun set over the ocean.
